{ player plot/event submission }

PLAYER PLOT/EVENT SUBMISSIONFor anyone who wishes to host or submit a gamewide player run plot or event, please fill out the form below and comment to this entry. This is only for logs that is intended for the game at large, not private plots closed to specific CR. We only need to worry about the larger ones so that we can ensure it doesn't conflict with any of our own game events.

If you plan on a large event log, we will be happy to post it via our own [personal profile] dreamposts journal so that your inbox is free from the comments. You would have to provide the prompts and any images to be used.

You can also use this form to suggest to us a certain event or plot to run!

You do not need to have every minute detail already planned out, and you can use this form as an initial inquiry as to whether your idea is allowed.

We'll try to get back to you within 72 hours, and if we take longer you are free to poke us! Anything approved will need to be posted to [community profile] songerein_ooc.

Player: Cybra
Character: Alastor
Idea: I mentioned this in a mod contact question, but Alastor's spent a year building up a lot of negative/nightmare energy due to doing what turned out to be stupid things like enjoying nightmare walking and fighting noctaere on a regular basis. On top of that, he's done even stupider things like having a Bleeding Heart possess him, coming into direct contact with those nightmare thorns a while back, and making the blindingly stupid mistake of attempting to eat one of the animal corpses that were infected from those thorns that hadn't been outwardly necrotic at the moment. Having access to radios for a month and then having them taken away chipped away the buffer which kept his internal receiver from glitching at the lack of radio signals to connect to. The moonstone reward helped slow it down, but it was like sticking a Bandaid on a more serious problem.

So what better time for a demon's nightmare chickens to come home to roost and make him go full noctaere than Spooktober?

During September, the glitching will become increasingly unbearable until he leaves Reverein at the end of September/start of October. I was planning on sign-ups for 3 to 5 people who are planning to try and help Alastor to have a dream or nightmare during September that Alastor could walk into which will later be used against them via shadow-manipulated illusion. Nothing fancy, just silent shadow silhouettes that his little shadow buddies take on to, in essence, snarl at anyone trying to get close. (He doesn't really care overly much about Reverein as a whole, but there are a few people there who are dear to him that he doesn't want getting mixed up in this.)

Alastor will have taken over a thicket deep in the woods previously occupied by noctaere. He'll order his rescuers to leave, knowing he's not as powerful as he'd be in Hell but he's still dangerous. (I mentioned in his app that his full noctaere form would boost his regular abilities along with being able to summon two eldritch tentacles once per battle if it comes down to a fight.) He thinks that he can find a way to purge himself of the noctaere form so that those in Reverein he actually cares about won't be afraid of him and that he'll be allowed to stay in the only place that's welcomed him in almost 90 years. I was going to potentially also put up a poll for if participants want a full boss fight or if they just want to talk him down, to convince him to let them help, since I kept going back and forth on that decision myself.

The resolution is just siphoning off all that gunk he's built up over the past year when he finally surrenders either via being talked down or getting knocked out in the fight. That will not just return him to normal but reassert the block that kept the glitching at bay in the beginning.
Date: The main portion (the end) would be in mid or late October.
Questions: Just want to make sure this doesn't interfere with any of your plans.

Idea: This is more of just a suggestion than a player plot! I always thought it might be fun to have a prompt somewhere about having a communal hot pot. Since October/November is a harvest season I thought it would be funny if there could be this giant pot with boiling soup where characters can pick one item of their choice to add to the pot. But the idea is they can pick literally ANY item they want to put into the pot. Be it veggies or chocolate or a potion or an inanimate object...?! Changing the contents of the soup/stew and maybe even giving it effects. The mods could compile a list of whatever items were added to the pot and determine just what happens to the soup. Then at the end, the soup can be shared with all the characters for dubious results!! I thought it would be a fun prompt!
Date: October/November?
Questions: n/a just thought it would be fun to submit the idea in my head!

Idea: I believe I mentioned it on plurk, but! An expedition to find some of those neat crystal batteries... and perhaps a big ol' crystal power plant :) gotta bring Reverein into the electric(ish) age! Finding the crystals that can power electronics and appliances and the like for at-home tech charging plus "power" lines has been on Futaba's mind, and going out into the wilds/wastelands/outer range to find it means ADVENTURE. ...and power crystals. And power. And no more candlelight unless you want to be romantic.

Date: I think when I mentioned it, November was looking all right, but she can make a call to arms whenever you think it'd be best :)

Character: Angela
Idea: I'd like to have Parasite Tree show up somewhere! Something kind of like a grove that eases people's thoughts and helps them relax but over time, those "blessed" by the tree end up turning into trees themselves (maybe exuding nightmare energy instead of the toxic gas?)

Unlike in LobCorp, any tree transformations should be able to be reversed via dreamotion energy or things introduced in previous plots.

Date: Anytime there's an open slot
Questions: Can Angela have the Book of Parasite Tree at the end? I'd be sort of piecing it together from LobCorp's stuff rather than the deck in LoR, so I figured I'd ask on that front.

I'd also like to ask if I can submit the Amber Dawn as a creature to start appearing around areas with slightly heavier nightmare energy. I'd give more details if approved, of course but I don't want to overstep my bounds. Though I will say that they apparently taste like grape jelly according to interviews!)

Idea: Time to make this official, Eustace and Tifa (and originally also Oriphi and Diluc) were going to try and find a way to either stay in Song or be able to traverse through each other's worlds. Eustace and Tifa in particular have great vested interest now that they're married and know that they aren't alone in this thought.

Most of my are thoughts are formatting this like some kind of longwinded quest because this would take a lot of time and effort, especially with it being unknown if it would work and how I should handle this for the game as a whole lmfao. Something with a lot of steps that incorporate a character's bond to the world and why they would want to stay instead of going back. Probably reading a bunch of books to get ideas. Throw in some weird fae or someone to make it annoying. Final boss to get some special power/essence. grind materials to forge an item TRUE JRPG FLAIR—

I will also make a network post with Eustace to see if others are interested as more brains on this problem isn't a bad idea and also to gauge how many would also like to stay. Might as well get them on the questline, too!

Date: ANYTIME... Though I might start on this in February...or whenever I figure out how this will work.
Questions: I can get back to myself later than 72 hours right—

Idea: So this isn't exactly a player plot or anything like that, but more of a neat idea that I think could make use in a setting like Songerein.

Basically, I'm thinking it could really be neat to explore the concepts of Saudade and Hiraeth - essentially, the emotional longing of something, someone, or somewhere that doesn't exist. Maybe it's something that once did exist and doesn't anymore for whatever reason, or maybe it's something that never existed in the first place. But essentially, it is an overwhelming emotional state that one feels a sense of loss and longing from. According to Google, Saudade is "an emotional state of melancholic or profoundly nostalgic longing for something or someone that one loves despite it not necessarily being real or they reciprocate it back," while Hiraeth "describes a type of homesickness, but for a home that you can't return to, or that never existed." It's the idea that some people say that synthwave-type music gives them; that weird nostalgia for a time, place, or state of being that they never experienced themselves.

Given the fact that Songerein is made up of dreams and emotion, I think these concepts can be very powerful for those living here to experience. If we're thinking about things in terms of player plots or game mechanics, maybe there can be a place/region/dungeon/etc. that crops up that is just full of this specific type of emotional energy. I could see the negative spin on it being a place that traps people in emotional states or in dreams about times, places, or things that are illusionary, tricking people into reacting with strong emotions despite the fact that whatever they're reacting to never existed. Or, if it did once exist, causing old emotions to resurface. It could cause a lot of chaos if done right because while the 'thing' one is getting nostalgic for may be straight up fake, the emotion created by it would be very much real.

This could also be fun for exploration/knowledge gathering as well. How did such a place come to be? Is there a source for this specific type of emotion? Was it a naturally-occurring thing in Songerein, or did something/someone create it? Is there some way to use this for good, or is it a purely malicious dream energy? Honestly I don't have any of these answers myself, but who knows? It could be a fun thing for players to explore.

Again, this isn't entirely a player plot and it doesn't even have to be considered a "player plot" if you guys end up using it for future events, it's just a neat "hey, this is cool and could potentially be used for cool event stuff maybe" kind of idea.

Questions: Why is it that synthwave music causes that weird nostalgia feeling? I honestly have no idea lol

Player: unkie
Character: Trahearne
Idea: Guys will really go noctaere instead of going to therapy huh

For the past six months-ish Trahearne has been spiralling into nightmare. The factors are numerous and not really important right now but what is important is that sometime in early March, he's going to venture into the dense forest/jungle and isolate himself in vines and thorns. While that keeps him from going full noctaere, it ends up having very awful adverse effects on literally everything else.

The vines that grow from him suffocate this part of the wildlands and will slowly (very slowly, unlikely to reach civilized parts of the world by the time the plot is over) spread and consume. Their main purpose is to capture unwitting intruders and stick them in blighting pods. These pods put the captives to sleep and then essentially copy whoever or whatever is stuck inside to create plant-like imitations of them.

THIS IS THE FUN PART - people are more that welcome to find themselves stuck in pods. They can either be regular visitors to this part of the wildlands, have found themselves resting under the Parasite Trees (spoken with Lae about this - the vines are drawn to these trees), or hear a "call" in their dreams they find impossible to resist that lures them to the jungle. While the person themselves is asleep in the pod, it's the plant imitations (mordrem. they're mordrem.) that act out their malicious will - they're essentially minibosses. Players are free to incorporate portions of their noctaere selves in their mordrem counterparts, add whatever combat abilities they'd like to have, but please note that all mordrem are made of plants and I am not budging on this. Players will control their mordrem miniboss selves.

While in the pods, characters will also have an empathetic connection with Trahearne, even if they don't know each other. They will feel constant and crushing loneliness and a desperation for companionship. Those closer to him may be able to pinpoint what exactly weighs on him but I'll hash that out on a case by case basis.

The way to free those stuck in pods is easy: cut them out of the pods. It's possible to do this while there are still mordrem of that character still running around (i.e. killing all the copies is not a prerequisite of saving them). Once freed, characters will likely feel exhausted and emotionally drained, but to the degree of which is up to the player.

The vines will capture regular wildlife as well, so that populates the forest with malicious plant deer/wolves/rabbits/etc for those who don't want to fight people.

The way to get rid of the vines is to free Trahearne and bring him down, but I plan on keeping that portion closed to CR. I can't see this failing anyway (unless...).

Player: Kri and Jen
Character: Link and Zelda
Idea: Legend of Zelda: Tears of Songerein, or, “that’s one hell of a canon update”

With the new game coming out in May, Link and Zelda are going to have a big sleepy canon update. Here’s the thing: since Zelda’s real body is currently occupied by maintaining the seal on Calamity Ganon, her dream self is a bit destabilized; between that and the huge surge of dreamotion energy that comes from both of them dreaming this at the same time, some of the nightmare energy generated by the dream begins acting the same way malice does in BotW, allowing for a lot of wild effects: areas changing, monsters appearing, things like that. We were thinking about some of this (namely, Hyrule as it is in Breath of the Wild, to keep it free of new game spoilers) happening as a partial dream shift. Meaning that Hyrule is coming for Reverein.

Over the course of maybe 2-3 weeks, little pockets of Reverein begin to shift into Hyrule. These aren’t permanent, coming and going in ways that players can use to improvise fun stuff happening. So, as an example, sometimes bits of the Wildlands will turn into the Lost Woods, and sometimes they won’t — this means people who don’t want to participate can avoid the event. This will start out small, but by the end of the 2ish-week period, these strange dreamshifts will be much more noticeable. This can (and hopefully will) include some monster appearances for people who want a fighting option! (No giant bosses, just little guys like bokoblins or those asshole octoroks or w/e)

How does it end? By finding and “waking” Link and Zelda through accomplishing a specific task (finding an object, sealing something — yet to be determined). But here’s the catch: that nightmare energy has taken on some characteristics of Calamity Ganon, creating blight versions of each of them to keep Link and Zelda from waking, and keep the dream going. So there will be a bit of a boss fight element to this, too.

Date: End of June/beginning of July

Character: Somnus
Idea: So. Somnus was concerned with all the current research focusing on achieving permanent residency, and although he even volunteered his "I'm dead" circumstance for the cause, he did so with some contingencies here. He isn't against people finding their own permanence in Song. He's more concerned about the lack of research into finding a permanent way home, or more importantly to him, permanently severing a world from its connection to Song and other worlds. He wants to do some investigation on his own.

Because his view regarding this isn't popular by far, right now he's wanting to find and speak with those who aren't keen on the whole "permanent residency" thing, or at least find information to see if severing a world's connection to others is even feasible.  So:
1.  Are there any NPCs who actually don't want the PCs to be permanent? Such as fae, dragons, or, heck, even Observatory scientists who are simply interested in exploring an alternative? Like if they've ever considered cutting off a dangerous world from the rest?
2. And would they help Somnus in any way? Such as pointing him in a direction of an item, ruins, book, spell, the wishing well, the use of baubles, etc?  Or overlapping with the fetchquests and locations of interest as listed here in the permanent residency plot? Or if permanence has to do with utilizing both nightmare and dream energy, developing a device to make a total lack of it is necessary to go home/cut a world off (and would it be called an alarm clock)?

I want to make it clear that Somnus himself doesn't want to or intend to sabotage the permanent residency-hopefuls in any way-- at least, not that I can foresee, unless y'all want to plot something specific in terms of what info he potentially finds to generate conflict for a certain month. Mostly, he wants this research to happen simultaneously so there is the option to go home permanently and cut his world off.

Also, I know that any research in regards to "hey cut my world off permanently plz" will fail because, lol, of course oocly I want all the castmates!!, but this is for sure an IC thing that Somnus would do in order (in his mind) to protect his world. He'd still want to try this even if I oocly know it'd fail. I'm happy to have him experience consequences too ofc.

Date: probably in the same timeline of the permanent residency plot.

i call this plot... Pandamonium

[personal profile] itsgunnabe_mei 2023-05-12 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Player: Mel
Character: Meilin "Mei" Lee
Idea: Mei has a lot of Noctare build up, due to -

A) A year of not seeing her family/friends (when she would see both every single day)
B) Giving herself all kinds of responsibilities while trying not to ask for help (trying to create a school, her mascot job, taking lessons from anyone and everyone she can, struggling to assign herself homework so her mind doesn't get sluggish)
C) Knowing when she returns home, she will have a conflict between wanting to keep the Panda and not wanting to disappoint her mother, and never seeing the friends she made here again
D) Suppressing all her negative feelings about everything above as she doesn't want to burden her friends with her troubles...

And eventually that bottle has to pop - with the one year reminder being the ultimate trigger. Thanks to Eustace convincing her to try out different animal forms with Dreamotion, her Noctare Form will have her shapeshifting (well, poofing) into different 6-foot (and red) versions of animals and going on a violent rampage. Mostly destruction of property, but if people fight her, she will fight back. (No deaths/serious injuries intended for this!)

To wit, this would all be contained in one log :

Part 1 - People realize Mei is missing, check her home, find it is wrecked
Part 2 - People find a Red Animal that's destroying stuff and keeps poofing into other animals, with the challenge being how to capture/defeat/wear her down when she keeps shapeshifting.
Part 3 - To expel the Noctare/cure her, People have to... sing! Preferably "Nobody Like U", but can change if people ask in the ooc planning stages - works to calm her, and in the film itself, Music and Singing Together is how the Panda is sealed. Thus with everyone's Dreamotion Powered Singing (and instruments if preferred!) Mei calms down, the Noctare is expunged, and Mei finally lets herself cry. (And probably get a lot of hugs)

Date: Sometime next month (June) but spaced away from the Link event so they don't feel squished together or pushed around or anything!

Player: Yon Fellow
Character: Azula
Idea: It's a wonder she hasn't gone Noctaere already, tbh

I've been building up to this for a while, but the jist is this: For the past several months, Azula has been obsessively studying and dabbling in Nightmare Dreamotion, meaning she's already a great big ball of saturated nightmare energy. Add to that her generally fun disposition, and she's already off to the races for a fun time. Then her brother and uncle showed up, one of the only people she ever trusted left, and she had to do even more crap with nightmare energy while preparing for the Story Eater. To add the capstone onto all this fun percolation, she's now confronting her daddy issues forcibly and it may or may not kill her depending how the thread goes.

Suffice it to say, she's gonna be going Noctaere.

Mostly this will consist of her wrecking some people things at home before manifesting a phoenix form and fleeing into the wildlands. This will also involve massive changes to the climate- a dry, warm spell culminating in a thunderstorm with no rain. Have fun with all the fires and lightning!

The resolution will be handled in dreamscape (And probably closed to specific CR) but she might also be an issue that requires confronting in the overworld, depending how aggressive she gets and how much destruction she kicks off in town.

Date: UPDATE: She'll first turn Noctaere late on the night of July 21st, the effects will last through the 22nd until she's been calmed down and defeated.

Character: Nahida
Idea: Tl;dr It's a groundhog day scenario aaaaaaand the land is corroding yayyyy!

Due to canon shenanigans, Nahida doesn't remember that a previous Dendro Archon existed. However, since Ei is from an earlier canon point before the canon shenanigans, she remembers and has essentially told Nahida that there was another Dendro Archon. Being the smart girl that she is, she'll be able to conclude that the previous Dendro Archon was erased from history and that she was probably the one who did it. Cue nightmare!

What will happen is a combination of the Samsara of Sabzeruz Festival and the Withering. Essentially, the samsara is a groundhog day scenario where the same day loops over and over again. In canon, the samsara was actually a dream, and its purpose was to generate energy from all the people who were part of the dream. In Songerein, this samsara will generate nightmare energy. Because of the repeated cycles, the day's events eventually become tailored to produce nightmare energy, but characters will not remember previous cycles.

Characters will go about their day as normal, except they will encounter something negative during the course of the day, ranging from a mild inconvenience or something truly catastrophic, like a monster attack or something personally terrible. During all of this, they'll be getting a strong sense of deja vu, like they've done all of this before. In addition, some NPCs will have become noctaeres. These NPCs are the ones who could not withstand the buildup of nightmare energy through the cycles and became noctaeres as a result. Players are also free to have their characters go noctaere, if they are the type who might be weak to sustained cycles of negative events.

At the same time, the Withering will be taking over the land, which is the result of the accumulation of nightmare energy from previous samsara cycles. And every time a character encounters something that makes them feel negative, the Withering will expand. The Withering is essentially a disease upon the land. In areas that are affected, life dies, monsters corrupted by the Withering spawn (in this case, it can be noctaeres), and anything that steps into the Withering Zone will begin to suffer from decay. The Withering is even strong enough to destroy buildings, so it can appear within Reverein.

However, Withering Zones can be destroyed! Each zone is maintained by a Tumor of the Withering. Characters must destroy the Withering Branches to unveil the tumor, which can then be destroyed. Any dreamotion powered by positive emotions will be sufficient to do the job! Once the Withering Zone is destroyed, the area will revert to its normal appearance (but buildings probably won't be fixed... sorry).

While the day progresses, characters will hear a whisper in their mind, repeated somewhat infrequently. "Save her... end the cycle." Anyone who spends effort trying to connect to the voice will eventually be led into Nahida's dreamscape, which will appear as a dream version of Sumeru! Except, this version of Sumeru has been mostly consumed by the Withering, so it's quite dangerous and full of noctaeres and other native monsters. An Aranara carrying a white branch will appear to explain the samsara to characters, and lead them through Sumeru. They will be able to generate a small area around them protected against the effects of the Withering. Characters will have to navigate with the Aranara to Sumeru City and reach the top of the city, the Sanctuary of Surasthana. Upon entering though, they'll instead be greeted with Irminsul, and Nahida trapped in a sphere at its roots.

Cue boss battle! In front of the tree will be a huge patch of Withering, and in its middle will be Marana's Avatar. This being is a swirling mass of nightmare/Withering energy, so it must be completely destroyed. Characters must destroy Tumors of Withering to expose Marana's Avatar to attack, and seek shelter under the Aranara's barrier when the Avatar unleashes powerful attacks.

Once Marana's Avatar is destroyed, characters will be able to approach the sphere Nahida is sealed in. Here, the Aranara will offer the white branch they've been carrying as the key to open the sphere. Once the sphere is broken, the white branch will vanish, whispering "Thank you..." into the wind, and Nahida will wake with memory of the previous Dendro Archon.

Once Nahida wakes, the samsara will stop and the Withering will disappear, leaving only damage to buildings and other non-organic things. Any characters or NPCs that were turned into noctaeres will become subdued and can easily be reverted to normal by a liberal application of positive dreamotion.

Player: Gen
Character: Joshua Rosfield
Idea: Hoo boy here we go

The plot I’d like to propose will center around Joshua's transformation into the Nightmare Phoenix, after the last couple of months have driven him into despair and guilt. The goal is to include a bunch of options to promote inclusion for different players, their characters, and different styles of play ranging from introspection to CR building to fight scenes to actual kaiju punching.

Plot Summary:
1. Initial Corruption:

  • Joshua falls into despair after losing Clive and Jill. This leads him to recklessly absorb nostilium during June’s event as he seals off the shard of his home and purify the tapirs.

  • Tie-in to Eustace’s noctaere plot: Joshua feels immense guilt over Eustace's corruption into a noctaere. In an attempt to help save him, Joshua transforms into the Phoenix for the first time. This transformation weakens him and allows the noctaere growing within him to realize it can manifest as a giant firebird. (Big ol' side note: this is entirely dependent on how that particular plot goes, I can change it as necessary!)

2. Joshua's Disappearance:

This can go one of two ways depending on what works best for the mods
  • Joshua either falls into a coma and is kidnapped for experimentation

  • OR
  • He’s taken by a new antagonist looking to use his power for their own machinations

  • Either option would occur in Orkili

  • I'm also open to anything else that the mods see fit/will work with future game-wide plans

  • Regardless of what happens to cause him to go full funky fresh noctaere, to prevent possibly destroying literally everything, Joshua barricades himself in a dreamscape as a last-ditch effort before he succumbs. The dreamscape resembles Rosaria, covered in crystals and plagued by eruptions of fire. This corrupted dreamscape becomes the setting for the plot/event.

3. Player Involvement:

  • Prior to entering the dreamscape, characters can hunt for clues to defeating Noctshua which are found in his journals (back in Reverein). These include his noctaere journal, the fairytale storybook, a book about the events from Valisthea, a journal that chronicles happier things in Joshua’s life, and Moss' Journal.

Characters can enter the corrupted Rosaria and can participate in a few different ways:
  • They can (in pairs) encounter crystals reflecting four different abstract concepts: love, fulfillment, power, or secrets. Interactions with these crystals can purify or corrupt them based on the characters' emotional journeys and decisions (the results will impact fights/events depending on whether the crystals are purified or tainted).

  • They can fight two corrupted egis of Phoenix: Caladrius (healing bird) and Adarna (attack bird), (not official for FF16 lore but I’m taking some creative liberty). Purifying and defeating these egis weakens Noctshua.

  • They can fight the Phoenix: exactly what’s written on the tin, (a limited number of) players can fight a nightmare version of the Phoenix. The Phoenix will revive itself upon defeat until a set number of losses.

  • Then there’s fighting Noctshua. Depending on what story beat we go with in the middle, to beat him (another limited number of) characters can either slap him with antidote, try to reach him emotionally, or some combination of the two. There’s also kicking his butt.

I have many more details to fill in the gaps (I tried to condense everything down as much as possible). If the plot is approved, I’ll have those details ready to go, although we may have to brainstorm some other specifics. I apologize!!

Date: July/August
As a note, I’d like to add that because of the many moving parts, it may be a good idea to forward date the first half of the plot and have it continue into the next month. That said, if it’s not feasible (and I totally get it!), August may be a good time.
Questions: Do you see why I wanted to make this a PowerPoint Will you forgive me for my shenanigans?

Player: Kaito
Character: Rob

Idea: OKAY I was mentioning this for months and brought it up with Lae when the whole permanent residence plot was going, and with endgame and the ability to bring people back, I thought maybe I could actually work it in.

Basically there's this place in Rob's canon called the Void, and it's this weird dimension where all of the world's mistakes go (reference pic 1, pic 2, pic 3). It's also quite convenient gravity-wise if the various floating/standing juxtapositions tell you anything. But yes, you can find extinct creatures, funny references to pop culture things, forgotten characters, etc. For the sake of the game, I'd think it could have anything that qualifies from any canon that a player might want to encounter. Like if you wanted to do Pokémon, MissingNo. could be around, for example. Or you could be a wiseass and find Zubat, whatever.

I'm not completely sure what all you have in mind for the final events, but if there's something they need to collect that could be considered a mistake or too weird to exist/still exist in a story, they could find it there? And/or you could bring back past villains/elements from Song and its related games. I'd say sign-ups might be needed depending on how many things there are to find for the game plot, but it could also be open for free aforementioned canon shenanigans. And Rob could be there too, have some unnecessary game canon for him showing back up or something.

Date: August/early September
Questions: Rob could technically still have the goose that laid the golden egg from his permanent residence quest if that means anything?

Yes, that should work! Thank you!
